Hi everyone,
I have 3 neutered males and one 10 month old springer spaniel female names Zoey. I’ve tried to get her spayed recently but my vet had family emergency and couldn’t do it.

Well, she went into heat this week. She seems to be okay, and my two older neutered males are fine, but there is so much tension and a few fights with her 4 year old springer brother, Cozmo. He’s been neutered since around 1.5, and no aggression issues and never even an argument between the two. They all get along great.

But starting a few days ago when she came into season, they’ve been fighting. It’s awful. He’s not trying to mount her, but you can just feel and see the tension and they start fighting. Poor Cozmo seems so confused. They are so bonded and inseparable and now this. Is this normal even tho he’s fixed?

I guess keep then separated as much as I can while she’s in heat? The vet said she can stay her in one month, and it’s my understanding that her heat will last a few weeks. Ugh! What else can I do?
