Hello! I just adopted my dog, Archie from the SPCA about a week ago after they had neutered him. We were not given any after care instructions other than to not bathe him for ten days. He has been wearing an E-Collar and has done pretty well with it. I wiped the area with a baby wipe a few days ago just to keep it clean but left the incision alone. When we first picked him up it wasn’t swollen or bruised at all, just loose skin… now it’s puffy and reddish pink. No discharge or any kind or bleeding. I’d like to mention that the CCSPCA refused to give him a bath prior to surgery even though he was covered in feces… although when we picked him up he seemed cleaner, just smelled like shelter. Please let me know if this looks infected or just normal swelling. He has a vet appointment on Monday (of course our car check engine came on today though). I’m starting to get really concerned because this is our first dog and my first male dog. Thanks for any feedback
